Family taken to hospital after tree falls on tent while camping near Dwellingup

A FAMILY of three is believed to have suffered broken bones after a tree fell onto their tent near Dwellingup.

It happened yesterday at a Nanga Mill campsite near Lane Poole Reserve.

They were taken to hospital.

A Department of Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions spokeswoman said the incident involved a fallen pine tree.

“The department was alerted to this incident by WA Police Force, with the department providing assistance to the family and Police,” she said.

“The area surrounding the fallen tree has been taped off to restrict public access.

“DBCA will continue to work closely with WA Police Force as investigations continue.”
