Fearless confidence needed for fashions on the field

Rachel FennerMandurah Coastal Times

LADIES are encouraged to dust off their hats and slip on something flash when the 2017 WA Country Cups Fashions on the Field arrives in Pinjarra on February 11. Racing and Wagering Western Australia (RWWA) claim there are bigger stakes up for grabs for this year’s Fashions on the Field Final. Ambassador for WA Country Cups Holly Young and last year’s WA Country Cups Fashions on the Field winner Dr Sarah McEwan will be guest judges on the day. “I’m super excited to be heading to Pinjarra for the Peel Regional Heat,” Ms Young said.

Here they will compete against other regional finalists for a trip for two to London to attend Royal Ascot. The winner will also receive $10,000 spending money and a voucher for Western Australian handbag and accessory label, Jessica Bratich. The WA Country Cups Fashions on the Field is a state-wide racing fashion competition, open to fashionistas from all over WA. It is made up nine regional heats at major country race meetings across the State. Nadia Bishop was the Peel Regional Heat winner for 2016, and represented the region in the 2016 WA Country Cups Fashions on the Field Final. For more information head to www.wacountrycups.com.au.
