The fire was first reported on Saturday about 8am. It started between Madora Beach Road and 100m east of the Madora Bay Tennis Club.
Houses on Charlotte Court were under threat and residents were told to evacuate.
A watch and act alert was issued for the area bounded by Orelia Road, Albion Road, Sabina Road, Cornwallis Road, Swiftshire Road, Madora Beach Road and Mandurah Road.
The western end of Madora Beach Road and Angalore Road were closed.

A bushfire all-clear was issued after 3pm on Sunday.
