RESIDENTS and visitors to Peel can take part in a range of outdoor activities for Outdoors October.

The South Metropolitan Health Promotion Service and Peel Trails Group have collaborated with local organisations to fund and provide the Peel region’s first Outdoors October.

Participants will be able to enjoy walking and paddling activities, themed events, games and fitness activities, festivals, nature and fundraising events.

Community and Population Health Services health promotion co-ordinator Richard Crane said the Peel region provided a beautiful backdrop for a month of activities with its range of public outdoor spaces and diverse natural, cultural and historical features.

Most activities are free and offer the chance of trying something different.

Local clubs, groups and agencies are hosting activities across Mandurah, Pinjarra, Dwellingup, Jarrahdale, Waroona and Boddington.
