Mr Randall said Australia Day was a day to celebrate all things of which Australia could be proud.
‘Community groups can mark days of national significance by flying the Australian flag and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Flags are also available at my office,” Mr Randall said.
Community groups eligible to request a flag include schools, churches and other not-for-profit organisations and associations that display the flag on their premises or in halls and meeting rooms.
‘Humanitarian aid workers undertaking official visits or duties overseas can also obtain a flag, as well as ex-service organisation representatives,’ Mr Randall said.
Other items available include booklets of Australia’s national symbols and recordings of the National Anthem.
