Mandurah’s Western foreshore takes on family-friendly style

Mandurah’s Western Foreshore is set to receive some improvements and excitement as part of the City of Mandurah’s Family Friendly Foreshore project.

The project saw the installation of the Disc Golf Course in Hall Park just in time for the summer holidays.

There will also be a series of free youth events featuring DJs and live bands in January.

These alcohol, drug and smoke-free events will be on January 15, 22 and 29 from 3pm to 6pm.

Artist Steve Browne will soon begin installation of the urban art project on the ablution block at Hall Park.

Browne will work with local young people to complete the artwork.

Other improvements made include 16 new street lights illuminating the pathways and seven new CCTV cameras.

The grant-funded Family Friendly Foreshore project has been developed in response to issues highlighted by residents, businesses and WA Police, and works to continue upholding community safety and crime prevention.
