The ATCO scholarship provides $10,000 to support the study of a high-achieving full-time student at the UWA Business School who has been experiencing financial hardship.

The scholarship enabled Ms Blaney to build on her language studies and learn about brand management in international business in Italy.

“This look inside some of the most exclusive and highly regarded brands in the world opened my eyes to business management and is something I will always remember,” she said.

Once she returned from her study abroad, Ms Blaney used the scholarship to move closer to the university campus from Mandurah.

ATCO human resources and corporate affairs general manager Amy Stanley said Ms Blaney impressed the panel with her significant academic achievements, leadership skills and a clear and focused commitment to her goal.
