Principal Andrew Newhouse said the student leaders chose to donate equal amounts to the Salvation Army and Homestead for Youth.

“Homelessness is a community issue that our student leaders felt strongly about supporting, they wanted to bring an awareness of it to other students and at the same time provide some fun activities to go along with the fundraising,” he said.

“They know that with a little effort a lot can be achieved.”
