Yourtutor is a free online service where students can connect with instant, professional help for homework questions and assignments.

The tutoring service is available from 4 to 8pm five days a week and is suitable for primary school students through to university students.

Yourtutor can also be used by the wider community and has a range of helpful advice and tips on many topics.

Using their library card number to log on to yourtutor .com.au, students can connect with qualified tutors for one-on-one guidance in English, maths, science and assignment research.

The service can be accessed from the library, a personal computer or tablet and no appointments or registrations are necessary.

The tutors, a mix of certified teachers, professional tutors and Australian university graduates, can review specific homework and assignment questions with the students online, using interactive whiteboards.

Yourtutor enables users to submit drafts to be proofread for English or humanities, get step-by-step advice to start researching an assignment they may be having trouble with and tips on how to solve homework problems in the future.

The tutors do not provide the answers.
