AGRICULTURE in North Dandalup and the arts will benefit from a multi-million dollar injection from the Federal Government Building Better Regions Fund.

CY O’Connor ERADE Village Foundation gets $2.5million under the BBRF Infrastructure Projects Scheme to help develop the Centre for Innovation in Agriculture at North Dandalup.

The centre will provide a space for agriculture research and innovation focused on optimising farming techniques in the Peel region.

Fairbridge Festival has been granted $33,375 under the BBRF Community Investment Stream to include a marquee at next year’s festival to showcase local business and produce.

Canning MHR Andrew Hastie said regional communities like Pinjarra and North Dandalup risked being overlooked by virtue of their geography.

“The BBRF is designed to counter this by providing the type of investment that will help these communities thrive,’’ hs said.
