Vanessa SchmittMandurah Coastal Times

They spoke to Year 11 students studying Materials and Mechanisms about their next big project, which is the replacement of the Old Mandurah Traffic Bridge.

They told students about the importance of design, production, aesthetics, community involvement and the environment when taking on big projects.

The talk will help students with their in-class competition, which is to design, cost, construct and conduct a weight bearing test of a model bridge built from only Balsa wood, glue, card, brickies line and IT based software.
