GENERAL Practitioner Urgent Care Clinics for Mandurah residents have opened in Greenfields, Lakelands, Halls Head and Falcon.

The clinics are for residents requiring urgent care for non-life threatening injuries such as minor bone fractures, cuts, mild burns, rashes, bites, insect stings, gastrointestinal illnesses and sports injuries.

Mandurah’s clinics are located at Jupiter Health Lakelands, Murray Medical Centre, Modern Medical Clinics and Falcon Grove Medical Centre.

The key message of the clinics is not all urgencies are emergencies to take the pressure off hospitals.

There are more than 125 GP Urgent Care Clinics around Perth that will initially be open for 18 months.

Appointments are available between 8am and 8pm seven days a week.

Mandurah MLA Mandurah David Templeman is excited to see these clinics open.

“I know people in our Mandurah community will welcome this improved access to local healthcare options rather than waiting in emergency departments,” he said.

“They can feel better knowing that hospital emergency departments are being left for those who really need to be there.”
