Grant for Mandurah Volunteer Sea Rescue to improve efficiency

One of them was to present Mandurah Volunteer Sea Rescue Services with a $55,000 LotteryWest grant that will be used to upgrade electronics on its 10-year old rescue vessel the Spirit of Mandurah.

Mr Francis paid tribute to the volunteers at what he said was the biggest rescue group outside the metropolitan area.

Group commander Ray Rudland said the grant would help the service to be more efficient as activities on the ocean increased.
