After almost two years of planning and construction, the $3.5 million park was enjoyed by more than 3000 people on the opening weekend.
Adventurescape has been designed with a farm theme in mind and features a 35-metre flying fox, giant pig, a rope climbing challenge, swings, a balance beam, fence maze, old farm tractors and a custom designed 8.5 metre high windmill climbing frame and slipper slide, as well as climb-on timber and fibreglass animal sculptures.
The 4ha park includes barbecue facilities, a lakeside pavilion, picnic shelters and toilets.
Work will start later this year on the second stage, featuring a skate park and multi courts with basketball half court, cricket pitch, four square, rebound and target wall and ping pong table.
More than $1880 was raised from gold coin donations for the Lord Mayor’s Disaster Relief Fund.
