POLICE are investigating an allegation that a man, who was performing a lewd act in Lakes Road near Kelso Lane, attempted to pull a woman into nearby bushes.

The incident reportedly occurred yesterday afternoon about 3pm after the woman decided to walk home from an appointment at Peel Health Campus, rather than taking the bus.

She told police she had seen a BMX rider go past her twice and she thought he had turned into Kelso Lane.

But when she reached the bushes before the lane, she heard him say “come here again” and she noticed he was performing the lewd act.

She said he then lent from the bushes and grabbed her by the shirt, however she escaped and ran onto the road, where a couple stopped their car and took her to police.
