“We had a house in Umbria for 10 years too so I wrote a novel called A Villa in Umbria.

When Mrs Stevens was diagnosed with breast cancer, she immediately underwent treatment, but did not let it hold her down.

With a love of travelling, and her husband’s career necessitating frequent moves around the globe, Mrs Stevens tackles her day job, raises a family and provides support to her husband. She does all this while undertaking treatment, proving people can survive and enjoy life after diagnosis.

“I was inspired to write my book Travelling with Cancer as a nursing friend asked if I really did have breast cancer as I am so positive and look so well,” Mrs Stevens said.

“She suggested I write it.

“It only took a few months and it was published this week on Amazon.

“I put photos in before and after treatment and no hair plus wearing a wig and the mask contraption I had to wear for radiation treatment this year as I have metastases.

“I hope it will make more women feel positive too.”

Mrs Stevens’ books are available on Amazon.
