Vanessa SchmittMandurah Coastal Times

TWO men have escaped a boat fire off Halls Head this afternoon.

Senior Constable Brad Bell said the two men were in a vessel about one nautical mile off the estuary mouth.

At about 1pm a fire started in the engine bay.

Sen Const Bell said the men did not have time to radio for help or set off a flare. They boarded a tender (small boat) and abandoned the vessel.
