PLAY’S Kool Halls Head Child Care Centre has packaged and posted 15 care parcels for troops overseas.

“In the weeks leading up to Anzac Day, we decided to not only remember the people who fought for us in the past but also take the opportunity to recognise the people still out there working to keep us safe,’’ centre manager Michelle Pickering said.

Families and educators at the centre donated items including poppies and Anzac biscuits, DVDs and some of the children sent their own Easter eggs.

The children helped package the items and with the help of their families posted them on their way.
