THE results of a major upgrade to Halls Head College have been unveiled with state of the art classrooms and high tech facilities.
Education Minister Peter Collier visited the college to officially open the new buildings, which include cutting-edge laboratories for science.
“Halls Head College provides students with a broad range of subjects and opportunities to develop their individual passions and talents,” he said.
“Teachers are working in a vibrant place where they can impart the knowledge and skills students need for future study, training and careers to match our rapidly changing world.”
Along with new science facilities, the upgrades include design and technology facilities, gymnasium, a dance studio, digital design classroom and music studio.
“Whether students are keen on maths and science, the arts, sport or technology, there is something to interest everyone in these new buildings,” Mr Collier said.
The college also features a Big Picture Academy for students who would benefit from alternative options for study or employment.
“The college is also developing partnerships with the mining and resources industry to create opportunities for students,” he said.
