HALLS Head Primary School (HHPS) students are gearing up for their upcoming production of The Jungle Book.

The after school drama club Scripted Drama features 44 children from all year levels.

They have been rehearsing after school for four months to bring this epic to the stage.

“It’s definitely been the most wonderfully challenging show we’ve ever produced,” director Sian Dhu said.

“Portraying animals demands a whole new level of performance.

“Luckily our cast members are extremely hard working and were so ready for the challenge.”

The after school drama program has been operating at HHPS for four years and has been an immense success.

“As well as developing talent and confidence, the program has created so many new friendships among students who may not usually interact at school” Ms Dhu said.

To give all members of the community a chance to enjoy theatre, entry to watch The Jungle Book is only a $2 donation given at the door.

The show is at Pinjarra Civic Centre at 7.15pm on Sunday, June 11.
