HALLS Head Primary School teachers got a rare insight into the inner workings of Parliament, after an invite to dine at Parliament House with Dawesville MLA Zak Kirkup.

It was a timely invite for teachers Ailsa Hacket, Donna McIntosh, Leigh Perry and Sian Dhu, with the school embarking on a new Journey to Excellence in Teaching (JET) program.

“Collectively we are committed to continuous improvement,” JET facilitator Donna McIntosh said.

“Dinner at Parliament House provided a valuable opportunity to share our plans with Zak Kirkup, who responded very positively about our exciting initiative.”
