MEADOW Springs Primary School students will soon be enjoying better playground and shade equipment thanks to $25,000 funding from the State Government.
The Government is investing $3 million over the next three years to improve facilities at public primary, district high end education support schools and centres that need it most.
The school will use the funding to put hard top shelters over both the mud kitchen and maker space as well as one of the ground equipment sets.
The areas cannot be accessed at present during rain or extreme heat.
Schools will be invited to apply for the next round of funding next year,
Mandurah MLA David Templeman said the State Government was investing in better playground facilities to promote healthy physical activity and ensure students were more active.
“We want to create spaces where play and learning are combined and students are challenged to improve their language, collaboration, cognitive, emotional and socials skills,” he said.
