Ms Matthews has been at the helm of the WACA since 2011 and has held many management roles in sporting organisations.

She kept wicket in 20 Tests and 47 one-day internationals for Australia from 1984 to 1995, including two World Cups in 1988 and 1993, and was Southern Stars’ vice captain from 1991 to 1993. She has also served in off-field roles for the Australian women’s team, including manager, assistant coach and selection panel chairwoman.
