Internet boost for three Peel region schools

THREE Peel schools are set to get a boost with faster internet.

The bandwidth will at least be doubled and possibly tripled over the next 12 to 18 months at Pinjarra Senior High School, Falcon Primary School and Ocean Road Primary School.

Telstra Enterprise WA Head of State Malcolm De Silva said the outcome was the result of close collaboration between the State Government and Telstra and would result in substantial benefits for state school students and staff accessing online services.

“This is a terrific development for students in WA who will now be able to access faster internet with less network congestion, more data and at no additional cost to the government or the community,” he said.

“Telstra knows how critical connectivity is for students today and we are proud that our extensive fibre network throughout regional WA is the backbone for this opportunity to help improve outcomes for students in both regional and metropolitan WA.”
