For the past few years, the Beacon Foundation Program has been incorporated into the school.

The program is available to students at the school who show good attendance and exemplary attitudes.

This year, students involved in the Beacon program travelled to Preston Beach Footprints Resort for a few days to work on their leadership skills, peer skills and good image.

They also attended a workshop at Curtin University.

In the future, they will play a pivotal role in setting up and managing a number of different events throughout the year.

These events include arranging a business breakfast, charter signing ceremony, speed careering, SKM uncovered and a number of school newsletters.

College student Jayeden Quatermaine received a fully funded trip to Canberra to take part in the Aspiring Leaders Summit 2013.

Jayeden submitted an application and went through formal interviews to receive selection as the WA representative.

His trip will be funded through the Beacon Foundation.
