Karnup burglaries: police warn residents to be vigilant after seven houses were hit by thieves

MANDURAH detectives are warning people in the Peel region to be vigilant after seven houses in Karnup were hit by thieves last night.

Detective senior sergeant Carlos Correia said two people in masks targeted the homes between 12am and 5am.

“We want to put the message out and urge people to lock their doors and secure valuables,” he said.

The thieves entered the properties through open doors.

They took wallets and purses – prompting Snr Sgt Correia to ask people to put their valuables away.

Karnup residents who may have caught the offenders on CCTV are urged to get in touch with police.

Police will also be upping patrols in the area tonight.
