IN answer to Marianne Stevens’ letter Learn to merge, Coastal Times, May 27.

There is a give-way sign at the Mary Street roundabout for vehicles making a left turn to go over the old bridge.

There are two lanes heading over the bridge from Old Coast Road and these vehicles have right of way.

If a vehicle on the left does try to merge and not give way, that vehicle is at fault.

There have been many near-misses with vehicles on the left not giving way from Mary Street.
