‘There is no doubt that Pinjarra is a growing area and there is an increased need for health services.

‘We noticed there were a lot of patients from Pinjarra travelling to our Mandurah office and we believe in going to the patient ” connecting health to meet local needs.’

The Pinjarra office will have mental health services for children, youth and adults at a low cost, and will be free for people with a health care and pension card.

They will also offer free chronic disease and healthy lifestyle services through individual consultations and group programs.

This includes diabetes education, exercise physiology, dietitian services, smoking cessation, obesity management programs and lifestyle education.

‘In addition, we invite other health providers who are interested in providing new health services in Pinjarra to share our rooms,’ Mr Hersey said.

To access the services, people should have a referral from their GP or call 9439 9500.
