Man alleged to have three-year-old child in car during Mandurah to Dwellingup police pursuit

MANDURAH Police claim a three-year-old child was in a car during a pursuit from Meadow Springs to Dwellingup yesterday.

They tried to stop a Holden Statesman sedan at 5.20pm on Pebble Beach Boulevard.

It will be alleged the car failed to stop and drove at excessive speed and erratically for more than 40km.

The car was stopped by police on Del Park Road at 6.30pm, after it slowed due to mechanical issues.

In the car was a 35-year-old Greenfields man driving, two female passengers and a 3-year-old boy.

The man was charged with failing to stop, reckless driving, having no authority to drive, unlicensed motor vehicle, false plates and possessing drug paraphernalia.

He will appear in Mandurah Magistrates Court on May 30.
