Man charged over alleged Mandurah road rage assault

A MAN has been charged over an alleged road rage assault in Mandurah yesterday.

About 11:30am the drivers of two vehicles became involved in a verbal altercation on Mandurah Terrace.

Police allege one of the drivers assaulted the other resulting in the victim falling to the ground and hitting his head.

A man aged in his 30s was treated at the scene by St John Ambulance before being taken to Peel health Campus.

The other man left the scene but was arrested a short time later.

A 30-year-old Halls Head man has been charged with assault occasioning bodily harm, driving with a suspended licece, possessing drug paraphernalia on which there was a prohibited drug or plant, possessing a prohibited drug (cannabis) and giving false details to police.

He will appear in the Perth Magistrates Court today.
