Man charged following laptop thefts from Mandurah appliance stores

A MAN has been charged after he allegedly went on a stealing spree through Mandurah today.

A police spokesman said police received two calls about the man at 10am and 10.15am today.

The 10am call was in relation to an incident at an appliance store on the corner of Lakes Road and Pinjarra Road.

Police claim that a staff member at the store was punched in the face after they tried to stop the man from leaving with a laptop.

The second incident occurred at retailer on Gordon Road.

It will be alleged that a man tried to steal a laptop, when he was apprehended by a staff member.

The spokesman said the laptop was damaged during the altercation.

Police attended, the man was arrested and taken to Mandurah police station where he was charged with two counts of stealing.
