Man charged over alleged armed robbery with tomahawk

POLICE have charged a man over an alleged armed robbery in Singleton.

Police say that about 1.10am on Sunday morning, the man entered a petrol station on Mandurah Road with his face covered and carrying a tomahawk.

Police also allege he threatened staff before smashing a glass door that led to the staff area and stealing cash and tobacco.

The 24-year-old man from Golden Bay has been charged with armed robbery.

He is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court today, 27 March 2019.
