KNEEING a man in the stomach and punching him to the face at Norma Jeans Mandurah cost a man $1200 when he appeared in Mandurah Magistrates Court on May 14.

Connor Graeme LaReservee pleaded guilty to common assault.

Police prosecutor Tamara Read said La Reservee walked past the victim and struck him to the stomach with his knee and then struck the victim to the face with a closed fist on February 17.

She said LaReservee was removed from the nightclub.

Lawyer Trent Petherick said there was a history of antagonism between LaReservee and the victim.

He said the blows did not affect the victim, who had seemed unfazed.

Mr Petherick said the incident was out of character and LaReservee had been banned from the nightclub for life.

Magistrate Anne Longden granted LaReservee a spent conviction.
