Man Hospitalised After Mandurah Home Invasion

A MAN was hospitalised after he was attacked by two men inside his south Mandurah home early Saturday morning (February 20).

Mandurah detectives are investigating the home invasion incident.

The 48-year-old homeowner woke up after he heard noises coming from inside his home, located on Honeydew Trail in Wannanup, around 6am.

Detective Sergeant Chris De Bruin said the man was confronted by two people in dark clothes, with their faces covered by dark material.

One man was tall and the other short.

He said they hit the man’s head with an implement causing a laceration.

Det Sgt De Bruin said small property items were stolen, but nothing of major value.

The man was taken to Peel Health Campus via St John Ambulance due to the cut on his head.

He has since been released.
