Man jailed for crime spree

A FATHER has been sent to jail after he went on a crime spree in Greenfields.

Aaron Joseph Cole (24) pleaded guilty to six home burglaries, possessing of drug paraphernalia and six counts of stealing when he appeared in Mandurah Magistrates Court.

The court was told Cole stole more than $20,000 worth of items from houses in Greenfields between July and September last year. Items included jewellery and electrical items.

Magistrate Anne Longden said Cole had used cannabis and admitted to using methylamphetamine, but he did not have a problem with it.

She said Cole had no prior record and had been depressed.

Ms Longden said Cole had resolved to rehabilitate.

He was sent to jail for the mandatory two years for a repeat offender. Cole will be eligible for parole.
