Mandurah Baptist College students excelled at megatronics comp

MEGATRONICS Year 9 students from Mandurah Baptist College excelled at the STEM Design Challenge at Hale School.

Evan Millroy took home the second place prize for 2016.

This marks the third consecutive year that MBC College students have placed at the event.

The challenge hosted 160 students from various schools within the metropolitan area.

The competing schools included Hale, Christ Church Grammar, St Mary’s, John Forrest and Warnbro Senior High School.

Students were mixed across 40 tables and presented with a design challenge that was revealed on the evening.

Students were introduced with a the problem being that a natural disaster had occurred and there was a need to send supplies from the top of a hill down to the town below in order to survive.
