IT was Talk Like a Pirate Day at Mandurah Baptist College on September 19 to raise money for research into Lymphoma and other cancers.

There were prizes for the best costume in each year group and a Talk Like A Pirate competition at lunchtime, also with prizes for the best sounding pirate call.

A Year 7 student at the school has Hodgkin lymphoma and teacher Jeremy Baker said it was a great way for the school to show their support.

Students raised $1000 for cancer research.
