MANDURAH Baptist College Year 11 and 12 students were served Gold at the WA Junior League Volleyball Boys Open.

The team of nine Year 11 and 12 boys, including one Year 10, competed against 10 other schools in WA at The Rise in Maylands

Captain of the team, student Sheehan Howie, said winning gold was a confidence boost for the team.

“It’s built the boys confidence for nationals,” he said.

The team will now travel to Melbourne in December to play a week long tournament in a nation-wide competition.
