The welcome function is at Halls Head Bowling Club on Saturday and the competition runs daily through to the wind up-presentation on Friday, March 8.

There will be singles, pairs and fours games spread between the two clubs over the week, with the finals played on the Friday afternoon.

“Members of the public are invited to see our Firies in action and renew old friendships,’’ carnival director Mick O’Halloran said.

“The City of Mandurah is expected to benefit substantially, especially regarding tourism and related businesses.”

Halls Head Bowling Club will turn on the lights on March 9 to light its four greens and everyone is welcome.
