MANDURAH Catholic College student Kathryn Norris has earned a mention in the nation’s golfing history annals.
The Year 12 student was crowned the West Australian Junior girl champion after being the first junior golfer to achieve two wins in the same year.
Miss Norris has dominated golfing competitions in WA and interstate this year.
The teen conquered the Callaway Junior Championships at Melville Glades Golf Club and the Drummond Golf 54-hole Junior Classic at Busselton, both held earlier this month, and she made history with her hat-trick.
Miss Norris, for the fourth consecutive year, has also walked away with the Drummond title this year – a feat unlikely to be repeated.
In January she won the South Australian Junior Masters, for the second time in three years.
In her fifth year as a member of the State junior girls’ team, Miss Norris was also thrilled to record a momentous win with the team at the interstate series in April.
Miss Norris was previously selected to represent Australia in Singapore, Japan and Taiwan.
She finished sixth at the British Ladies 72-hole championship last year.
