Mandurah childcare centre drops fees to combat cost of raising a family

Staff writerMandurah Coastal Times

A MANDURAH childcare centre will reduce it’s fees in a move they say is in response to the rising cost of raising a family.

Buggles Childcare Mandurah Danielle Sharpe described the move as a bold step.

She said other childcare centres usually raised fees annually.

“We appreciate the costs of raising a family so we are reducing our fees to do our part and say thank you for the continued support of the community,’’ she said.

“We have never done this before and its unheard of in the industry, however its our way of giving back and growing the sense of community we have here.”

The centre is reducing fees from $98 per day to $85 per day for those attending one or two days, $77 per day for those attending three or four days and $73 for those attending five days (for the toddler room, 18-36 months).
