Mandurah court: woman fined $800 for creating a false belief

Staff writerMandurah Coastal Times

A WOMAN was fined $800 after she made a burglary report, even though she had given permission for people to take the items.

Lauren Bedelia Littlecott (29) pleaded guilty to creating a false belief when she appeared in Mandurah Magistrates Court today.

Police prosecutor Tamara Read said Littlecott contacted police saying she was a burglary victim on January 19.

Police investigated the incident and found Littlecott had given permission for people to take the items.

Sen Const Read said Littlecott told police she reported the incident because the people took guns and Littlecott did not want them to get into the wrong hands.

Littlecott’s lawyer said his client asked her brother and a friend to take her ex-partner’s things and sell them.

Littlecott was granted a spent conviction.
