Mandurah Crab Fest set to be a showstopper this weekend

WITH just days to go until Mandurah’s biggest weekend, Mandurah Crab Fest is set to be another showstopper.

Crab Fest has a long history of offering a unique experience for all ages and tastes and this year’s event will be no different.

There will be plenty of delicious seafood-inspired dishes and local produce over the weekend.

A variety of gourmet and continental food stalls will display a huge choice of taste temptations including a selection of the region’s renowned produce.

The Cooking Stage will include food tips and demonstrations across the weekend with personalities including Nova 93.7’s Nathan, Nat and Shaun with pizza chef Theo Kalogeracos, celebrity chef Bart Beek, chef Dale Sniffen, and the winner of the Children’s Cooking Competition.

The Art Competition will once again be held along the eastern foreshore and Mandurah Ocean Marina, providing plenty of opportunities to watch some outstanding artists in action.

A wide variety of stalls will offer a great range of local handcrafted home wares, clothing and other interesting items to suit all tastes.

There will be markets on the eastern foreshore as well as the Mandjar Markets in Mandjar Square and stalls in the Smart Street Mall and Mandurah Terrace.

More than 100 hours of free entertainment includes Justice Crew, Thirsty Merc, the Australian Army Band, Mandurah’s Jonny Taylor, Moorditj Brothers and African Music Circles.

The Children’s Stage will feature family favourites including Constable Care and a great selection of local performers.

New to this year’s event is the Surf & Turf area, in the Dome car park, showcasing a range of offerings that will help you get the most out of Mandurah’s unique waterside lifestyle.

Fresh and cooked crab will be on sale across the weekend with take home boxes also available.

The popular firework spectacle is on Saturday at 8.30pm.
