Mandurah Cruises brings cray fishing experience to local tourism offerings

WITH an abundant crayfish population offshore, Mandurah’s commercial fishermen have long exported the seafood delicacy overseas to foreign consumers.

Now, Mandurah Cruises is bringing the consumers here – offering cray fishing tours to international and domestic customers on newly refurbished luxury vessel Reel Affair 11.

Groups from as far as Beijing and Guangdong in China have taken up the pot-pulling experience and eaten their fresh catch – cooked on board in front of them.

The tour extends the visitor options available in Mandurah.

Mandurah and Peel Tourist Authority chief executive Karen Priest said it was “another example of our tour operators working hard to showcase the amazing marine attractions we have here”.
