A GROUP of cool Mandurah mums have struck gold on the national stage.

Wicked Mafia Mummas Hip Hop Crew won gold at the Follow Your Dreams National Dance Finals.

National hip hop Parent Champion Tammy Hooper said the group started in August to pass the time while their children attended dance classes.

The motivation was to keep fit, socialise and have fun.

The local mums were led by Wicked dance teacher and choreographer Brenton Elliott.

They participated in a couple of competitions and then qualified for the nationals.

They scored an amazing 99 out of 100.

“It was amazing, fabulous and empowering to win,” Mrs Hooper said.

“We won in the Master’s Funk category.”
