A HALLS Head man has been charged after a road rage incident in Booragoon yesterday.

Mandurah Detectives said a 35-year-old man was driving a car east along the centre lane on Leach Highway, around 10am, with his four-year-old daughter.

They alleged the man sounded his horn at the driver of a Ute that was moving from the left hand lane into the centre lane across the man’s path.

Detectives said the driver of the Ute stopped his car in the centre lane, causing the 35-year-old man to stop his car as well.

The further alleged the driver of the Ute got out of the car, banged on the 35-year-old’s driver’s side window and the window next to the child.

They claim he punched the 35-year-old man in the head through the open driver’s side window before returning to his car and driving off.

A 28-year-old man of Halls Head was charged with aggravated assault and will appear in Fremantle Magistrates Court on November 22.
