The Minister visited Mandurah to discuss the Government’s commitment to jobs growth through programs like jobactive, which aims to match jobseekers with employers.

Introduced on July 1 last year, jobactive has created more than 200,000 jobs in Australia by improving the quality of services available for job seekers and employers.

These services include Work for the Dole, a program which provides potential employees with skills and training they need to prepare for the workplace while giving back to the community, and the Job Commitment Bonus, which rewards long-term unemployed people aged 18-30 who find and keep a job.
