Mandurah: former taxi driver facing indecent and common assault charges is granted bail

A FORMER taxi driver who was charged with indecent and common assault appeared in Mandurah Magistrates court today to apply for bail.

Swarn Singh Randhawa was charged with three counts of indecent assault and two counts of common assault in Falcon and Dudley Park in 2015, but had been in India.

Lawyer Trent Petherick said Mr Randhawa voluntarily handed himself in to police as soon as he found out about the charges against him.

Mr Randhawa was granted bail with a $2000 surety and protective bail conditions.

He is next due to appear in Mandurah Magistrates Court on March 2.
