STUDENTS from three local primary schools will see their school garden, environmental studies and community health and well-being come to life after receiving a combined $13,000 in prize money, thanks to Mandurah Forum’s Growing Together Initiative.
Over the past five weeks, the community has lodged more than 30,000 votes for their favourite school by placing tokens received for every $10 spent at Mandurah Forum in one of the school donation boxes,
Mandurah Primary School won $10,000 that they will spend building a new interactive community garden.

READ NOWPrincipal Natasha Upcott said the school was beyond excited to win the grand prize.
Greenfields Primary School won $2000 for a buddy bench for the oval, reading desks and environmental studies.
Dudley Park Primary School won $1000 to be spent on a health and well-being area with an edible garden.
Centre manager Jacqueline McKenzie said the community had embraced this year’s expanded campaign with a record 11 schools involved.
