MANDURAH featured in the top three WA cities to experience a rise in regional personal insolvency in the March quarter, according to the latest statistics from the Australian Financial Security Authority.
There were 45 people experiencing insolvency in Mandurah, the third highest after Wanneroo and Rockingham.
The statistics from three cities were the main contributors to a 13.1 per cent increase in the number of debtors in WA in the March quarter.
The number of debtors who entered a personal insolvency increased 1.5 per cent in the March quarter 2016, compared to the December quarter 2015.
The number of debtors in WA in the March quarter 2016 rose 10.9 per cent compared to the December quarter 2015.
Kwinana had the highest proportion of debtors in the adult population in greater Perth in the March quarter.
Rockingham, Mandurah and Wanneroo all had a higher proportion of debtors in the adult population than the greater Perth average.
